No Smoking or Vaping

​

• For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside Idalia House and on the property. There is zero tolerance for this policy and may result in early departure with no refund. 

 

No Pets

​

•  We LOVE pets, however, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets at Idalia House. Please plan alternative arrangements for your animals during your stay.  If you are looking for some local options, please contact us as we may be able to refer you to some local pet-sitting options.

Occupancy Limits

​

• To preserve the luxury and comfort of our space, we do not provide extra beds or cots. Each room is set to accommodate a specific number of guests, and we ask that all guests adhere to these limits.

​

Cancellation Policy

​

• Cancellations made 10 days or more prior to arrival are fully refundable.

• Cancellations made less than 10 days prior to arrival will incur a minimum charge of one night’s stay.

​

Housekeeping and Maintenance

​

• Idalia House is maintained to the highest standards. Daily light housekeeping is provided.

• Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Any items found missing or damaged will result in additional charges.

The Property 

​

• The residence was built in 1869 and is not wheelchair accessible. The bedrooms are located on the second floor. Please note there are stairs to access all bedrooms. 

 

Parking

​

• Please park in the driveway. Please be mindful of our others guests and do not block them in. Licence plates will be taken at check in and you will be asked to move your vehicle if you are blocking anyone in.

 

Quiet Hours

​

• To ensure a relaxing environment for all, we observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

​

Respect for Property and Other Guests

​

• Please respect Idalia House, fellow guests, and our community. Any excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, or violation of policies may result in early departure without a refund.

Liability

​

• Idalia House is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, or left behind. Guests are encouraged to safeguard their valuables.

Idalia House Bed & Breakfast Guest Waiver and Release of Liability

Thank you for choosing Idalia House. To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay, we kindly ask that each guest reads, understands, and agrees to the following terms. By booking a room all guests agree to the following terms.

Release of Liability By acknowledging this waiver, I agree that I am voluntarily choosing to stay at Idalia House Bed & Breakfast, and I understand and accept that Idalia House, its owners, employees, and agents (hereinafter "Idalia House") will not be held responsible or liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or theft that may occur on the property during my stay. This waiver covers but is not limited to:

• Slips, falls, or accidents on the grounds or in any area of the residence

• Illness or health-related incidents arising during or after my stay

• Theft, damage, or loss of personal property

Assumption of Risks I acknowledge that I am responsible for assessing any personal health, physical limitations, or other risks before using Idalia House’s amenities and facilities. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks associated with my stay.

Property and Amenity Use I agree to use the facilities, amenities, and equipment provided by Idalia House with care and acknowledge that:

• I will be liable for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, including costs of repair or replacement.

• I am responsible for any actions that may cause injury or damage, including those caused by negligence.

• Idalia House reserves the right to charge me for any damages incurred during my stay.

Guests and Visitors If I invite any visitors onto Idalia House property during my stay, I accept full responsibility for their actions, conduct, and any damages or incidents involving them. I agree to ensure they adhere to all house policies and safety guidelines.

No Liability for Loss of Personal Property Idalia House does not assume responsibility for personal property that may be lost, stolen, or damaged during my stay. I understand that I am encouraged to safeguard my valuables and carry insurance coverage for personal belongings.

Health and Safety Compliance I agree to abide by all Idalia House safety policies, including no smoking/vaping and no pet policies. I understand that failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in additional charges or my early departure without a refund.

Emergency Situations In the case of an emergency, I agree to follow the instructions provided by Idalia House staff and respond promptly to any alarm or emergency procedures. I acknowledge that Idalia House is not liable for any circumstances or outcomes beyond its control, including but not limited to severe weather events, fire, or other unforeseen events.

Indemnification I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Idalia House from any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of my stay, including legal fees, resulting from any violation of this waiver or negligent or wrongful conduct.

Confirmation of Understanding By booking, I confirm that I have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Waiver and Release of any and all liability. I voluntarily agree to these terms and waive any right to seek liability or any claims against Idalia House, it's staff, owners and the business in connection with my booking and my stay.
